There's a nasty bug in Safari 15 (and WebKit, its underlying technology) that can reveal your recent browsing history and even your identity.

Apple quickly prepared a fix for the bug, according to a WebKit commit on GitHub, but there's no timeline for when the fix will be rolled out. It could be a while.

Meanwhile, since the bug is in WebKit, it also affects third-party browsers like Chrome and Firefox on iOS. (Apple requires all iPhone and iPad browsers to use WebKit.)

The good news is that it doesn't affect iOS 14 or iPadOS 14, so if you haven't yet upgraded -- don't!
