Apple to fix iPhone camera flare
A solution is pending for a longtime gripe.
A common complaint about the iPhone’s camera is that it produces unwanted glares and flares in photos and videos.
Personally, I like a bit of lens flare every now and again: It gives pictures a J.J. Abrams look. (The movie director is famous for using camera flare — sometimes gratuitously.)
But flares and glares often show up when they are not wanted, ruining pics. The good news is, Apple may finally have found a fix.

After Apple relaxed rules about emulators, a Game Boy emulator appeared this weekend on the App Store. But don’t go looking for it — it’s already gone, but not for reasons you might suspect.
This iPad Pro is an older, “vintage” model, which means it won’t be supported for much longer, but you can’t beat its $160 price tag.
Cult of Mac Deals also has a great deal on SwiftScan VIP — one of the best scanning apps on the market. We named it one of our notable Awesome Apps.
This weekend, I tried to get through the first episode of Apple TV+’s new detective thriller Sugar, which stars the usually awesome Colin Farrell. Looks like I’m alone in hating it: It’s already a hit for the streaming service.

I took an inCharge X Max on my trip to watch the eclipse. It was very useful. I needed a 5-foot charging cable several times, and support for both USB-A and USB-C saved me from dealing with adapters.

One more thing ...
I saw the craziness of the Western world as well as its capacity for rational thought. If you just sit and observe, you will see how restless your mind is. If you try to calm it, it only makes it worse, but over time it does calm, and when it does, there’s room to hear more subtle things — that’s when your intuition starts to blossom and you start to see things more clearly and be in the present more. Your mind just slows down, and you see a tremendous expanse in the moment. You see so much more than you could see before. It’s a discipline; you have to practice it.
