I was kinda on the fence about checking out Pluribus, the buzzy new Apple TV sci-fi show from the creator of Breaking Bad.

I wasn’t a huge fan of that show, nor its follow-up, Better Call Saul.

But after reading our fantastic review of Pluribus, I’m fully on board.

Our review does a great job of explaining why you, too, should tune in.

Be warned: The review contains a big spoiler that is revealed in the first episode, so if you want to go in completely dark, do not click this link!

Also in today’s newsletter:

  • You have to check out this mad USB hub built just for iPhone.

  • Instead of making subscribers pay separately for a bunch of different sports on Apple TV, the streaming service is moving toward offering all subscribers access to all sports, starting with Friday Night Baseball and Formula 1 racing, and now adding Major League Soccer to the mix.

  • Earlier this month, we reported on ANC-related problems with AirPods Pro 3 on airplane flights. Apple’s just released new firmware that — we hope — fixes the problem.

  • This is also welcome news: Apple’s erecting some firewalls between users and AI companies hungry for data.

One more thing ...

My job is to not be easy on people. My job is to make them better. My job is to pull things together from different parts of the company and clear the ways and get the resources for the key projects. And to take these great people we have and to push them and make them even better, coming up with more aggressive visions of how it could be.

— Steve Jobs, 2008.
