Surely the biggest problem with a touchscreen MacBook Pro is making sure the screen doesn’t wobble as you interact with it.
Imagine a new touchscreen MacBook Pro sitting in your lap, and the lid flopping all over the place as you touch this button or that on the screen. Especially with the super-light and thin screens Apple has been shipping lately.
Heck, MacBook screens already bounce about when you’re just typing on the keyboard, let alone touching the screen.
And then there’s the fingerprints. My MacBook screen already gets fairly grimy just from the grease transferred from the keyboard when the lid is closed. It’s going to get extra oily when you add in daily Multi-Touch use.
I dunno, I’m still a bit skeptical about a touchscreen MacBook, even though the latest rumors indicate it’s coming sooner than many of us hoped.
But like Steve Jobs said: "A lot of times, people don't know what they want until you show it to them.” Sounds like we’re gonna be shown it fairly soon.

My vision was to create the first fully packaged computer. We were no longer aiming for the handful of hobbyists who liked to assemble their own computers, who knew how to buy transformers and keyboards. For every one of them there were a thousand people who would want the machine to be ready to run.
