3 simple Apple Watch tricks

Everyone should know these handy features.

Today’s a big day: It’s the iPhone’s 16th birthday. The very first iPhone went on sale on June 29, 2007.

By today’s standards, it was a slow, chunky brick.

It had a crap camera, a low-res screen, limited functionality (no App Store or even copy/paste) and connected exclusively to the worst carrier network.

Still, it utterly transformed the world.

The iPhone’s appeal and utility became immediately obvious from the moment you opened the box — although, in my case, it took me an hour or so to wrestle the gadget away from my kids, who figured out how to use it immediately.

So, happy birthday, iPhone — you’re still a teenager but have already come a long way. It’ll be fascinating to see where you go in the next 16 years.
