There’s one port to rule them all – and it’s USB-C.
USB-C is fantastic connector technology. It’s sturdy, reversible and capable of delivering both high power and high data rates.
Apple already uses USB-C on some iPads and MacBooks, and if a couple of new reports are true, will be offering it on the iPhone in 2023.
The change can’t come soon enough. Although Lightning isn’t bad, I would love to ditch it. A bunch of other stuff I use regularly – headphones, mini speakers, battery packs – are all USB-C. Wouldn’t it be great to have just one charging system for most of your devices?
After all, it’s not called “Universal Serial Bus” for nothing.
